After a year of hard toil through the full catalogue of musical instruments, Music Maestro Pilgaard's Orchestra has now achieved the recognition and success that it so genuinely deserves. Through the years a multitude of so called musicians have darkened the musical sphere with disharmonies, swearing and caterwauling, combined with a nonchalant disregard for others' eyes and ears. Here, in this morass of ghastly tones and discords, Music Maestro Pilgaard's Orchestra stands like a musical temple swathed in sonorous notes, syncopations, accordions and improvised charms - qualities which many yearn for but are often condemned never to find. The orchestra has acquired these attributes during the course of its residence in various care homes, at school and, in the case of one particularly gifted individual, at The Royal Danish Music Conservatory. They have not squandered their success on partying and hard drinking - for which they have neither the taste nor the inclination - but on the contrary, have devoted their time to seeking out new tunes for their audience's pleasure. In this way, their repertoire is kept in good shape and brought up to date - with both the finest examples of dinner music and their somewhat more tempestuous dance music. Punctuality and courtesy are their watchwords, ensuring that the guests - as has been carefully planned and anticipated - receive that musical stirring of the soul to which they are so fully entitled.
