Café Kølbert in Norway

Norway has many times sent out a summons for the team's unique brand of courtesy. This photograph was taken from an open carriage as the team made its way to its first job in Trondheim. A lovely, bracing jaunt which, according to Miss Svennevig would be a tonic for Mr. Ascanius's flabby jowls. Yes! The team has embraced this country with open arms, not least in the course of its extended tour with the Danish Tourist Board in Norway, when our proud brothers across the sea found renewed belief in the pleasures of the table.

Café Kølbert entertained Norway's King Harald and Queen Sonja together with 500 other invited guests at a spontaneous little get together of close friends and family on May 24th 2000, as part of Kølbert's 3-day entertainment, service and courtesy tour to Bergen's Drama Festival. Mr. Frølund is greeting the festival director, Bjergljot Jonsdottir, Mr. Bøgh is greeting the King of Norway, and the Queen is hidden behind the very friendly Mr. Forrest, who is greeting Mr. Nitz

Please read the article "The King of Norway thanks Café Kølbert".

Mr. Gade tests the team on the day's menu, which consists of "Breadcrumb balls with garnish".
